Genshin Impact’s Luna III update introduces lots of new Nod-Krai content like lore and story quests. A big example are the new Durin quests, which introduces more of the fan-favorite character especially for players who pulled him from previous banners. Meanwhile, other quests offer some core rewards and buffs for characters. Here’s an in-depth overview of each new quest and their rewards.

How Many New Quests Are There?
For Luna III, there are four new quests that players can choose. All four will be running for a limited time as version 6.2 runs. This’ll be until January 13th, 2026. If you need more help for Genshin Impact, you can find more guides and a genshin top up with us today.
Thankfully this time around, the majority of the quests for this update may stick around for longer. Durin’s quest is a quintessential part of the character’s story. Just like for all the other character story quests, Durin’s will likely remain in the game alongside them. The Archon quests are also basically part of the main story which makes them essential for players too. The only one that probably won’t stay is the Witch’s Homework quest and its character buff reward.
Song of the Welkin Moon: Act V – A Nocturne of the Far North
n Goddess of the Nod-Krai region. She’s heavily worshipped by a heavy following who reside there and she protects the area with her life. However, there was a time where she left her role as a Goddess for a faction, but she would leave said faction to return to her Goddess duties.
To unlock this quest and actually get to play it, you’ll need to complete the 4th Act of the Song of the Welkin Moon Chapter. This coincides with the Nod-Krai story and Columbina’s. In the actual new quest itself, you’ll be tasked with gathering information as to where the Goddess’ body actually is. You’ll travel across the region to differing locations and meet other NPCs pertaining to the quest. This includes speaking to Columbina herself and exploring several dungeons to find her body.
You can’t get any rewards from completing this quest, but it’s needed for the main story. It also makes Columbina’s banner appearance in the future make more sense. She needs to be able to walk around the world in her physical body after all! Players will get to have Columbina in their party, though we aren’t sure what weapon or role she’ll play in battle just yet.
Song of the Welkin Moon: Act VI – Melting Moonlight in the Morning Mist
The next Archon Quest continues Columbina’s arc. This time, we focus on the relationships between her, her followers, and other characters in Nod-Krai. We also get to learn more about her ambitions and want for autonomy as a Goddess. There are several secrets about Columbina’s character that get revealed here which only makes her future feature in the game more exciting.
To play this quest, you’ll need to complete Act 5 of the Song of the Welkin Moon Chapter. Basically you’re continuing the previous chapter prerequisite that was mentioned for the other Columbina quest. There’s still no official reward here either, but you get to enjoy an incredibly beautiful and heartbreaking story while also learning more about Nod-Krai and its people.
Durin Story Quest Act 1 – The Magic Known as Storytelling
Durin is an absolutely fascinating and shocking addition to the Genshin Impact cast as a prior major antagonist. However, his story quest helps explain why this version isn’t so malicious and bloodthirsty. What’s the point of completing Columbina’s questline? Well the answer is right here, as you cannot play Durin’s quest without completing Columbina’s first!
Durin’s story follows a storybook version of him created by Andersdotter the witch. She created this Durin as a reimagining of the original with a “happier ending.” A misunderstood dragon who wants nothing but friendship and good in the world. However, the new Durin gains sentience and craves to exist in the real-world. Your job is to help Mini Durin merge with the real Durin’s comatose heart. This way, similar to Columbina, he too can live physically in the world potentially among your party.
The quest has 5 parts total, so it’s going to take some commitment and real-life days to complete. However, each part gives you actual rewards this time. By completing the entire arc and questline, if you have Durin pulled from the previous banner, you get a new skin as a special exclusive bonus!

Witch’s Homework
Now that all the main story quests have been gone over, there’s the quest that actually affects your gameplay in a major way. Witch’s Homework is a set of quests that each connect with a specific character. If you complete a character’s quest, they will have their stats buffed permanently. This can range from their stats, Constellations, Skills, etc.
Each character’s quests are relatively the same and pretty easy to complete them all with the right parties. They essentially come down to traveling to a location and defeating a set of enemies or a boss. However, these quests are only made for the set characters listed, so make sure you pick the ones you like most to do first.
